The "Library, Create music source" screen is only used when the disk containing music files is on some other computer in the network.
As @Nutul mentioned, when plugging a USB disk into the Pi thats running moOde simply do "Menu, Update library".
Update library....results in 3 seconds of the whirring 'update in progress' icon....then stops.
Library is still empty!!
(I've now switched Samba off)
I'm missing something key here!!!
