OF COURSE it is a local source. It is on the Pi, and you shared it so your PC can read/write files to it. This is how shared folder are meant to work:
- one computer shares a folder
- other computes see it
- the computer that shared it, still sees it as a local folder, because IT IS a local folder to it.
Exactly.....problem is that the shared folder can't be written to ...as I said back in post#4
If I could remove write protection....then Bingo...but I can't.
Suppose it comes down to enabling WRITE on that shared folder??
