Let's not forget that this expected "easier to configure network routing" will be a benefit of moOde moving to the Bookworm release of Raspberry Pi OS and its use of the NetworkManager-mediated infrastructure. Yes, this release is necessary to boot a Pi 5 but it's also the current release for *all* Pi models.
I've already posted my belief that previous-model Pis hit the sweet spot in terms of performance per any of (power consumed | heat generated | total system cost).
I don't doubt that user interactions with the webUI and library will turn out to be (somewhat) quicker with the Pi 5 but I'm not convinced this is a critical issue for most users.
We'll find out soon enough if I'm selling the Pi 5 short
