In my case the NAS is only running the samba service (set to SMB2 and above) and for simplicity has a network called 'NAS'. Given I mainly use Windows 10 I tried the suggestion of removing the leading slashes and as my collection resides in a folder called 'music' I entered "NAS/music". This however triggers a mount error, the log for which is as below. (I 've noticed that this log mentions 'mount error 95' and 'refer to mount.cifs(8)' an issue which also featured on Volumio - see: https://github.com/volumio/Volumio2/issues/1524)
