[SOLVED] Local input active

Looks like somehow things got broken. Did you ever configure a Hifiberry DAC+ ADC or Audiophonics 9028/9038 DAC and use the Input Select feature?

The log entries below indicate that a "renderer active" flag is true during startup which is an abnormal condition and so the flag gets reset. It's prolly the "input source active" flag but in your system even after the flag is reset whatever breakage is present is causing it to be set to an active state again.

It's not obvious to me how this could happen so IMO your best bet is to start with a fresh 9.0.4 image.

Nuclear option, huh? Ok, pity, now I've put a bunch of music on the SD I was hoping to keep it there, but I can start over if that's the easiest way to a working system.
