Multiroom Sender: stream local audio input from an I2SADC

I'm new to moodeaudio and would like to know if it is possible to stream the alsa input of an I2S ADC HAT (such as the HIFIBERRY DAC + ADC) attached to the sender to the multiroom clients.
Usecase is the streaming of the record / monitor output of the living-room entertainment system for mutiroom turntable-listening.

But maybe it ist not worth to try because of the latency.
