Just to close the thread, when I was unable to get Moode to work with my screen, i gave up and just used Volumio. Volumio had no trouble using the display, but I found that the touch feature was not well calibrated, so it was almost impossible to use. Eventually, I gave up on that, returned the 7" screen to Amazon, and bought an 8" screen from another manufacturer with a higher resolution. That one worked much better. Then today I thought I would see if Moode worked with this one and found that it worked well. So now I am exploring Moode again with a local display that works correctly.
