No more sound...

Hi everyone,

I use moode with a usbridge player connected to a smsl usb dac, everything was working perfectly until I plugged it back in and unplugged it to change a cable.

Moode recognizes my library, starts playback without any error message, a slight sound is even heard in the speaker but nothing else, total silence.
 I tested the dac usb input with another source, no problem, I quickly looked at the Moode configuration menus, nothing caught my attention but I must say that I'm really a computer novice.

You mention you changed a cable, is it possible to change the cable back in case the fault lies in the cable?

I did try to change the cable back, but it didn't bring back the sound... This so mysterious, I cannot figure what I have done to cause this situation

Your output shows HDMI=on  but   Local Display=off  Do you have an HDMI cable connected for any reason ? or just the usb DAC

I'm not familiar with usbridge.. does it utilise HDMI for anything ?

Otherwise, a reboot with the dac connected should pick it up. Possibly the cable removal has reset the audio output.

Current Moode is 6.7.1 and 7.0 is to be released soon.
Have you a spare sdcard you could use ?, download the current moode and test (possible your 6.4.2 may be corrupted...this would check that)

So I followed your advice and installed a newer version of Moode and indeed, it solved my problem, the sound is back again! Thank you really
