Quick mono mode button
#1
Hi there,

seems "mono" is not a good keyword so it's quite hard to find an answer to:
is there a button to go mono sound?

Usage scenario? Blown channel on amplifier and must go like that until I win lottery.

Thanks,
Matthieu

Open MPD config and under the SoX Resampling section set Channels to Mono

I believe that if you have a channel blown on the amp, the speaker wired to that channel will stay mute, no matter what you do...
Of course, going mono will allow you to hear the sound that otherwise would have been relegated to the blown channel only...
This kind of quality compromise, I'd prefer to redirect the entire audio to a BT speaker instead: not good, not bad, but at least stereo.
