Library auto-update?
#1
Hi there,

I did not see any options for this, but was wondering if there's a way to update the library automatically, or schedule a library update for once a week?

And if there isn't is that an easy thing to implement?  Usually it's not a big deal when I have new music and trigger update, but now I have 2 pis with moode audio on them and updating in both places is a bit of a pain.  Any help would be appreciated

Quoting from the setup.txt file

You have the HTTP example*

Code:
# Library update
http://moode/command/?cmd=libupd-submit.php

and the SSH (e.g., command line) example

Code:
# Library update
sudo /var/www/libupd-submit.php

You can set up Linux cron jobs to trigger scripts on your players or the equivalent on whatever system you've got on your LAN if you choose not to hack your players. Google is your friend.

Library update can be scheduled from Clock Radio. It's one of the actions that can be performed after the stop time.

Also the Players >> feature provides the capability to send the Update library command to all discovered players.

OMG, I so have to keep up with Tim’s constant innovation!

Of course you could still choose to do it the hard way if you’re a sliver-back Linux’er who thinks GUIs are just a passing fad.

The only option I have for "Action After Stop" is "None". What am I missing?

I think it's just the window is too small, if you scroll down you should see it

Aha! I never noticed it was a scrollable menu list either.

Ideally when a menu opens and it overflows the parent div some sort of auto-scroll would occur to make the entire menu visible. I haven't figured out how to do this.
