Problem: 9.0.2/Pi3B+/7" Pi Display: weird display issues on touchscreen when using "m" menu
#1
hey

my setup:
pi 3b+ with official 7" touch display

when controlling moode 9.0.2 via browser, there are no graphical glitches
when using the touch screen I get weird horizontal screen tearing and not refreshing output when using the "m" menu
I try to get a photo... but for the time being:

I'm in the radio menu. i click "m" and then on configure
in one half I see the configuration menu, in the other horizontal half I still see the radio menu
the horizontal line does not stand still... it jumps up and down  like on old crt monitors and tvs or so

could this hint towards a driver issue? the display worked fine with 8.x
this only happens in the m menu... everything else looks as great as always

I am seeing this behavior too but haven't had time to investigate it. Same hardware setup as yours, encased in such a way that I can't easily try the touch screen on a different model Pi. Hence I don't know if that matters.

The occasional, odd screen tearing after startup happened on my end. It suggests an issue possibly in the KMS videocore driver. This was on a Pi-3B.

In my case it went away after Menu, Refresh but I didn't do extensive testing.
