Problem: USB-volume controll on raspberry pi
#1
Hi! I have bought a usb volume control to have as a volume control for moode audio with camilladsp. I have tried to get it to work, but haven´t got it to work in moode audio. I have tried it in Linux arch in gnome desktop and it works without any configuration. I have played around with the different settings on volume control, but i haven't figured out how to get it to work,

Yes that is how i have tried. Can i somehow see from terminal if the volume control is working?

Sure. Use either of the two commands below to see if the triggerhappy daemon is processing events. If no events are logged then the USB device was not recognized by Linux as an input device which would be a manufacturer issue.

Code:
sudo thd --dump /dev/imput/event*
sudo systemctl status triggerhappy

I ran a quick test with a USB volume control I had lying around and no issues.

Is this also possible with a rotary control via the Gipos?

There's a setting in the "peripherals" config for setting up a rotary controller also.

It seams that i have problem with the usb-volume controller. Do you have one working that you could recommend? I'm trying to build a case to a raspberry pi5 with dac8x and hoped to use a volume control to the box. I don´t have the knowledge to understand if i can use a rotary control on top of the raspberry pi 5 hat (dac8x). If someone know how to do that with a GPIO rotary, i would really appreciate your help. Other way around is to use a USB-controller that i can fit inside of the box with the knob put outside my box. Is some one has a usb-controller that you know work. Appreciate your help. I use CamillaDSP for making a 2 way speaker. Is it the same volume in Moode audio as in Camilla DSP or will this not work?

If i use CarmillaDSP do i still control the audio level with the remote configured in moode audio, or do i somehow need to configure the remote in CamillaDSP?
