Improved genre support

Here's what I see with the sample files you provided.

No "style" tag
   

- I'd try to get rid of the hidden dot files.
- Without a "style" tag in the files there's no possibility of offering that as an option for the Genre list.

Pardon my ignorance, but shouldn't it be (whatever...) one of the tags MPD (or the file-parsers it invokes, if this is the case) considers/looks for?
What do you see if you pass them to mediainfo?

IIRC there were a few instances where MPD indexed a tag that wasn't listed in the documentation but maybe that was because the documentation was a bit behind.

Here's a mediainfo dump for one of the files. There is a tag named "STYLE" but its the same as Genre in this case.

This is pretty much what Kent predicted isn't it?  Namely that there isn't a "tag called style", merely some "tags that some schemes call style and some software reads as style".

Well, there is a tag named "style" but it's unique to the Discogs service. Its similar to all the unique musicbrainz tags https://picard-docs.musicbrainz.org/en/v...basic.html
