Hello, I don't mean to criticize, because the Qobuz Connect name by itself is great in its simplicity.
But I wonder, wouldn't it be better to stay away from such a name, which seems to suggest that the solution is official, while of course it isn't?
And wouldn't it draw undesired attention from the brand owners?

true. I guess there are rules or conventions or sth like that...
"Qobuz connect" like functionality would be great, is what I meant, and qonnect as suggestion. Same difference I guess. could be mistaken as intended to sound official.

Thanks for suggestions guys, keep ‘em coming. Indeed I want to prevent using any official brand name or trademark. But like “pleezer” for Deezer, it may be familiar.

Have had a busy weekend and watched the Eurovision Song Contest (congratulations to Austria, well deserved win!), so some but not too many hours into development. After authentication, which is working, you’ve got to announce the device as a player. This has been keeping me occupied for the past week.

It’s a hard message to get exactly right, and without having it *exactly* right it doesn’t work. I’ve figured out most of the fields, but there’s a couple of bytes that are giving me a hard time, and like I said, it has to be exactly right.

I remember from the first pleezer days that this initial and critical handhake also eluded me, for months even, until I got this eureka moment. From there things went fast. Here’s to hoping it’s not gonna take me months this time ;-)
