Hello. I'm running the latest Moode version on an Allo Usbridge Sig. I know I'll catch a bunch of flack for this, but I am using both a USB WiFi dongle, and an external USB drive (powered by a hub). I don't have ethernet available yet in the location my setup is in.

Anyway, all works pretty well (radio works poorly, possibly because of my bad wifi connection with the dongle?), except that Airplay does not work at all. Not from my laptop nor my phone. I have an Audioengine device in another room that connects to Airplay with no problem.

Is it a conflict with the wifi dongle? Something else entirely?

What does "Airplay does not work at al" mean?

There is little in your post that could be used for troubleshooting. Reboot and then post Moode Startup log using the command below. Also post the WiFi adapter model.

Oops, sorry: dongle is tp-link TL-WN725N.

"Does not work at all" means that when I assign output to "Moode Airplay", nothing happens. Before update to recent Moode version, at least the web UI screen would display that an Airplay source was interrupting playback (although playback was stuttery and halting, with harsh distortion).

lol, before INSTALL an in-place update be sure to first VIEW the update instructions. Below is from the 720 to 721 update. Note number 4 ;-)

This package upgrades release 7.2.0 to 7.2.1 and includes important updates and bug fixes. Install time is around 1 MINUTE depending on network and system speed. Be sure to BACKUP your system before applying this update.

1) Monitor progress with the SSH command: moodeutl -t

2) Reboot after the completion message appears.

3) The file /var/local/www/update-VER.log contains a log of the update.

4) After reboot open MPD Config and SAVE to update the settings.

After letting Airplay source play for a while, playback has once again gotten crunchy, distorted. Is it a matter of fiddling with the buffer?
