[PROBLEM] No UPnP renderer

Hi all

Hope everybody is OK

I wanted to use Moode as upnp renderer and I activated necessary  setting under Audio section

"UPnP Client" for MPD have been set ON
"UPnP service type" have been set as OpenHome ( as I would like to send TIDAL stream via Mconnect lite on iPhone )

but I can not see moode UPNP on my network

Yes in typical home Router Pro DNS should be same as Gateway address.

I don't use UPnP and so it's not obvious to me what might be happening. Maybe try another control point?

IIRC, mconnectLite doesn’t recognize the upmpdcli OpenHome renderer. (For all I know, it doesn’t recognize any but moOde is all I’ve got.) Try switching back to UPNP/AV.

Seems like the different Connect Points I tested against moOde varied in the UPnP protocols/profiles they supported but I’m not a regular UPnP user.

Yes, I have used mConnect (paid version) for Android - it does not support OpenHome. When Moode is set to OpenHome it will not be visible on mConnect- I am assuming it is the same for mConnect IOS.

Okay, so the Renderer works.

If I try stream TIDAL from mconnect to Moode does not play TIDAL track but If I try to stream from mconnect to my soundbar it plays the TIDAL track

I don't understand this but I stopped my TIDAL subscription long ago so have no way to repro.

I do have a Qobuz subscription, however. Just now I tried mconnectLite on my iPad with Qobuz as the Internet Music Library and a moOde 7.4.1 player with the UPnP Renderer in UPnP-A/V mode. The Qobuz tracks I select are playing just fine.

I assume either I missing something or there is an issue with Moode upnp renderer and mconnect TIDAL combination.

Based on the above I can't fault moOde and its renderers.

PS - as an aside, I can listen to Qobuz tracks equally well using BubbleUPnP on my Android phone and a moOde 7.4.1 player with the UPnP Renderer in either UPnP-A/V or OpenHome mode.  Functionality is different for the two modes, of course, but that's on OH vs UPnP/DLNA.
