Hi everyone, I've been updating from 8.3.9 to 9.2.6 of Mood Player Audio without any problems. The latest update, to 9.3.2, was done with a clean copy on another card (9.3.2). I'm noticing lags or gaps in the audio on tracks that play perfectly in version 9.2.6, both in DSD 64, 128, and 256, as well as in PCM 24b 192kHz.
The Raspberry Pi is a 4 with 8GB RAM, and the DAC is a Top-Notch D50s. tested in 2 different cards Sandisk extreme pro 64gb and 32 gb
Thanks!
Mario

Very odd.
Reboot and then post the entire contents of the startup log.
The log can be viewed via the SSH command moodeutl -l or downloaded via the Logs section in System Config, or via Menu, System info from any of the Config screens. The startup log will be at the end of System info output.

I don't see anything suspicious in the log related to audio.
What kind of network are you using that has DNS on a separate subnet?
20250427 191502 worker: Ethernet: method static
20250427 191502 worker: Ethernet: address 192.168.0.16
20250427 191502 worker: Ethernet: netmask 255.255.255.255
20250427 191502 worker: Ethernet: gateway 192.168.0.1
20250427 191502 worker: Ethernet: pri DNS 200.42.4.203
Are you playing the tracks directly using moode WebUI or are you playing them from some UPnP client?

After several tests, there is definitely a problem with version 9.3.2 on my computer. I'm going back to version 9.2.6, which doesn't have these issues and works with high-resolution files (DSD 256, 128, PCM 24-192 kHz).
Thanks !

I ran some tests with DSD64/128/256 and 24/192 tracks and no issues whatsoever. The DAC is an Allo Revolution. The DSD tracks are DSF format and were played native DSD bitstream.
Maybe someone with a D50s can reproduce your issue and provide some insights as to what might be going on.

Hey
I have a Topping D50s too and noticed some strange glitching on a DSD track on this version which wasn't present before. This is connected to a Raspberry Pi 4b with 2GB RAM.
I will try to reproduce this.
Presumbly you'd want to see the MPD log file, but let me know if there's any other data that would be helpful.

I have two DACs capable of native DSD: a Khadas Tone1 DAC (USB interface) and an Inno-maker DAC Pro (HAT).
I don't routinely play DSD tracks but I'll go back and check with the test tracks I have in my possession using a moOde 9.3.2 player. I'm guessing I'll have the same negative results you (Tim) had but I won't pre-judge.
The OP said "I'm noticing lags or gaps in the audio on tracks that play perfectly in version 9.2.6, both in DSD 64, 128, and 256, as well as in PCM 24b 192kHz."
OTOH - the title of the thread says "problem moOde 9.3.2 with DSD". Does this mean that his high bit rate PCM tracks still play perfectly or not? Also, do the lags or gaps occur during playback of a track or only at beginning (or ending) or a track?
Curious issue.
Regards,
Kent
