Allo USBridge Signature
There are a ton of bugs in the outdated moOde version your are using including bugs in how DSD is handled and reported. Dev support and bug fixes are only provided for the latest version of moOde.

There is simply no truth to the statement "linux kernel change that affects a lot of DAC's DSD playback so many people are even advised to go back to an earlier version of moOde". In fact it's just the opposite. The newer 5.4.y kernel used in moOde 7 series has much better support for DSD capable devices.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll buy a new SD card and flash the latest version of moOde on it. This way I will have the confidence to go on as I'll have a backup of the working old version.
Any recommendation on the card? Samsung ultra Class 10? 16GB?

Thanks. That's what I am eyeing.

I've found these recommended brands/models to perform well and to last forever (if the cat doesn't find it or I inadvertently step on it!).

In truth, though, 8 GB is plenty of room. Trouble is, it's getting harder to find small capacity cards at a good price so go with the flow.

Certainly moOde will work fine with larger capacity cards but I recommend you don't fall into the trap of hosting your entire music collection on the system card just because you have the space. You'll hate yourself the next time you have to reflash the card.

Hi everyone, so glad to find this board to share on my findings, and learn on your advice.

I've been using the Sig for a while, coupled with an allo Rev and moOde to drive liquid music out of my NAS. I've got a full JRiver MC license, and connecting is a breeze all flawless and perfect...except for one thing: I miss so badly the (maybe too sophisticated) playlists that I still have on iTunes, tried to replicate on JMC but without the same ease and simplicity.

Now: if one wants to stream out of a mac TO the Sig+moOde music managed through iTunes, is there a way to do that other than...AirPlay 2? Asking, since the drop in quality of hi-res audio, good quality recordings, is definitely audible (you know, AirPlay comes with some severe limitations both in bitrate and sample rate).

Sorry if the question was already asked, I searched but to no avail: very grateful for any hints to, or else no probs I'll make do and stick with the solution I've got already, that's so close to Great!

Thank you.

I run Audirvana3+ on my MacBookPro and stream from the MBP to the Sig.

In A+ you can connect your iTunes Lib. incl all your iTunes playlists.
Using Audirvana remote App on my iPhone or iPad to control the application on the MBP.

The MBP sits in my living room and I‘m sitting in my dedicated listening-room.
The MBP with A+ acts as a server and streams wireless Hirez to my router, which is connected via CAT 7 into my listening room, where the USBridge Sig is connected via Ethernet.

That’s the only way I have figured out to get my iTunes lib. incl. playlist to utilise in full extend incl. coverarts.
Don’t know JRiver, so I do not know if it is possible.

In A+ the Sig shows up as an UPNP device. You have to activate UPNP in moOde OS.

The benefit is, better sound quality as well

Thank you.

You should be able to share out the directory containing your iTunes files via SMB then connect to it by creating a "Music source" definition in moOde Library Config. If you are using a Mac I can post some steps to do this. If you are on Windows maybe someone else can post steps.

Works perfectly fit to purpose, thank you Manni for your hint!
