It's been so long since I was a power user in Windows that it took me a minute to understand what you are doing. On the virtual Windows 10 host I mentioned before, if I bring up the Windows run command (via Windows key + R) and enter the address of one of my moOde players ( http://moode.local, say) then Microsoft Edge opens the moOde WebUI. No username/password required. I don't know why you are being asked for it.

It seems to me that praveen.sg8 is using \ and not / : that should mean that he is trying to open a network share and not browsing the system.

Hi, Francesco.
Interesting observation. I glided right past the fact that the OP seems to be entering just an IP address.
Here's my results for this case:
1) moOde 8.2.0 player with neither SMB server nor NFS server enabled; IP address 10.0.0.10
On my Windows 10 test machine, using the Run command entering either "//10.0.0.10" or "\\10.0.0.10" gets me a popup saying "Windows cannot find ...."
2) same moOde player but with SMB server enabled
On my Windows 10 test machine, entering "//10.0.0.10" still gets me the popup. Entering "\\10.0.0.10" results in the Windows Network browser opening on 10.0.0.10 and showing the default NAS, Playlists, and SDCard shares.
So in neither case do I get asked to enter a username/password combo. Perhaps the OP is entering an IP address for some other device?
Regards,
Kent

I did a successful update from 7.6.1 to 8.2.0 on my USBridge Signature, I even think there is an improvement in sound quality (could be psychological .
Thanks to Tim and all others for the great software!
Two small issues:
- the 'favourites on top' sorting for radio stations was not handled by the backup/restore.
- had to delete my NAS (raspberry PI with Samba), and manually re-enter it (scanning did not show it).
Thanks, Willem

My 8.1.2 install does not detect an update to 8.2.0. It's running on a RPi2 so I was hoping it would pick up the update for legacy devices.
moodeutl -l does not show any error messages when running system-updater.sh r812 - it downloads the update and runs it.
While running it does show some error messages on the screen (even some segmentation faults) but in the end it seems to do its updates.
Should 8.1.2 on RPi2 show an update to 8.2.0 or am I out of luck?

Worked fine on my end.
If you saw segfaults and other errors it would suggest some sort of breakage external to the update package. I'd recommend going with a fresh 820 image.
Here's some screen shots of an update I just ran on a 2B.

Proceeded with installing a new image, which indeed is running.
Now that I wanted to restore from backup, it appears that the backup file has 0 bytes so I will have to restart from scratch again...
I created a backup after reconfiguring it, just for the future.
Glad I did not have a lot of custom radio stations, I will add Pinguin Radio again.
